Rain and wind gusts are expected today
The National Bureau of Meteorology (ONAMET) and the National Emergency Centerhave issued a yellow alert for the Samanà area, including Las Terrenas.
Although Chantal is not a hurricane, its winds can reach 120km / h. The first gusts and rains will hit the region in the day.
The center of Chantal should arrive inSanto Domingo this Wednesdays between 3 pm and 4 pm.
