Santa Barbara, Samaná, DR. – The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, led the inauguration ceremony of the first phase of the residential tourism development Hacienda Samaná Bay, HSB, with an investment of US$ 25 million.
Hacienda Samaná Bay HSB, covers a total of 200,000 m2 of land and will have more than 400 homes developed in different phases. With a total investment of more than US$100 million.
In its first phase, the HSB project consists of a 60-room Condo Hotel and 120 apartments distributed in 3 buildings facing the sea; subway parking, terraces, infinity pools, gym, restaurants, common areas and amenities.
Minister Collado expressed that both he and the President are happy and grateful that the private sector has believed and invested in the country in these difficult times the world is going through.
“We are happy to be at this inauguration of the Hacienda Samaná Bay, which a few months ago had 100% occupancy, with the cast of the filming of a movie that took place here, and this is part of what has been achieved,” said Collado.
The official also said that thanks to the courageous decision of the President of the Republic and the Cabinet of Tourism, Quisqueya became a tourist film destination, since the Hollywood studios were closed and came to the country to film in Las Terrenas and Samaná, “the hotels are full, so we will continue with a strategy to promote Samaná as a film destination”, said the minister.
Also present at the opening ceremony was Geanilda Vásquez, Minister of State without Portfolio of the Presidency, among other local and national personalities.
On behalf of the development company INDEBAY SRL, Luis Pareja, general manager of the Project; Pedro Lloret, executive vice-president and Manuel Marciel, financial director, among others.
Hacienda Samaná Bay is the only hotel condominium concept overlooking the bay, built in the center of Santa Bárbara de Samaná.
