Club Med announced several developments in its international portfolio including a hotel opening in the Gulf States and renovations to its properties in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
The flagship family resort, Club Med Punta Cana, will open a water park in December 2024 that will incorporate thrilling water slides, splash zones and interactive water games.
In addition to the water park, guests will be able to enjoy more than 20 activities, including trapeze, kayaking and pickleball.
Recent renovations to the property also include all-new family rooms, a wedding venue, a beauty salon and a revamped dining experience at the Hispaniola Caribbean restaurant.
Meanwhile, Club Med Cancun’s renovations in 2025 include the main pool and terrace area transformed into a large infinity pool bordering a natural lagoon and a new beach and pool bar just steps from the beach.
As part of the ongoing renovations, select Deluxe rooms near the beach bar and Sports & Wellness Island will be upgraded with a sophisticated design that combines the essence of Mayan culture with furniture and private balconies that evoke the serene beauty of the sea and lagoon.
The renovations are scheduled for completion in July 2025.
In addition, the Family Oasis will be enriched with new features, including a Mayan-themed water park, a water playground, a mini-pool and play area, a fun zone and a mini-cinema.
The Kids Club will be relocated next to Aguamarina’s oceanfront family rooms and a Baby Club Med will be added.
In addition, the hotel chain launched a new partnership with world-renowned yoga instructor Jonah Kest, a yoga ambassador at the brand’s resorts in North America and the Caribbean. At the same time they highlight their key Club Med brand initiatives in sustainability and tourism.
