The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, Asonahores, will celebrate the XXXVI Commercial Exhibition, the largest business platform between suppliers and companies in the tourism sector, from October 9 to 11 at BlueMall Puntacana.
David Llibre, president of Asonahores, expressed that through the Commercial Exposition, the entity ratifies its sectorial commitment to the development of the productive chain, with different initiatives and joint work with other associations of the business sector, taking advantage of the thrust of tourism, to increase, diversify, technify and humanize its activities so that more Dominicans can offer more and better goods and services.
“The tourism industry has proven to be a transversal axis for the economy of the Dominican Republic, only in 2022 the hotel sector made purchases totaling 139 billion pesos representing 19% of GDP directly, indirectly and induced as a fundamental pillar of the productive sectors,” Llibre said.
He said that this platform promotes the development of the productive chain to strengthen commercial relations, promote sustainable growth in the sector and benefit all the actors involved in the tourism industry.
Aguie Lendor, executive vice-president of Asonahores, indicated that, in this new edition of the Commercial Exposition, they have designed an event with a dynamic agenda to strengthen the commercial relationship between the main productive sectors that do business with the country’s hotel sector with more than 120 companies in more than 4,000 meters of fairgrounds.
“The 36th edition of the Commercial Exposition this year presents a commercial structure with innovative proposals to motivate the exchange between hotels, restaurants, and suppliers of goods and services that form the value chain of the tourism industry, and facilitate interaction between national and international participants, under the same business space,” explained Lendor.
He pointed out that the fair will be open from its inauguration on Wednesday, October 9 to promote the connection between the main actors of the tourism sector in the largest and most important indoor trade fair in the Dominican Republic.
Asonahores said that they will be presenting an agenda with talks, training workshops, press conferences, activities and recognition, where the main media and specialized journalists of the country will meet.
They indicated that it is designed to promote the exchange of knowledge, strengthen professional relationships and highlight achievements in the industry.
