The executive director of the Port Authority (Apordom), Jean Luis Rodríguez, announced that the second phase of Port Cabo Rojo, in Pedernales, will be inaugurated in October, highlighting that an amusement park will be built in this tourist port.
He indicated that several cruise lines have already included the destination in their itineraries, which reinforces the objective of making it an important point of reference for tourism in the region.
He also stressed, through his X account, that the goal of receiving 150,000 passengers at the terminal by 2025, consolidating Port Cabo Rojo as an amusement park and a key destination for tourism and economic development in the area.
It is recalled that the expansion of the port represents an important step in the growth strategy for cruise tourism in the Dominican Republic.
