With the enhancement of tourism in Puerto Plata, with the implementation of the Punta Bergantín project, the northern zone strengthens and prepares its human capital, and for this reason, about 300 tourist guides received renewed cards that will serve as a guarantee for the safety of visitors and tourists.
The delivery was headed by the regional director of Tourism, Atahualpa Paulino, as well as personnel of companies and services of the state entity.
Paulino expressed his satisfaction for the delivery of the cards, while pointing out that the process is framed within the policy of Minister David Collado with the objective of keeping updated and organized those involved in an action of vital importance within tourism, as is the case of the guides.
“We are here to support you, to support efficiency and quality, that is the commitment with you, with tourism and with the country,” he stressed, according to the local press.
The tourist guides were grateful for the updating of their IDs, which allow them to develop their work in the value chain of the tourism industry, in addition to highlighting the efforts made by Collado, as well as the officials for the good performance of the sector.
